Unroadworthy Decisions

Tunnel Clem 7 trumpeted by Brisbane, Campbell Newman-Lord Mayor is lemon.  What It should be Great $ 4.28 for cars but is now running at $ 2-less than 50% in an attempt to get people to use it.  The forecast was that in April, a month after its opening, it would be around 60,000 trips and about 90 thousand trips after 6 months.  Instead, in July were approximately 28,000 excursions and now, more than 5 months after its opening, there are still around this number-there was a slight, if any, growth in usage.

After the tunnel opened only 5 months, the River City had taken asset write down of $ 1.  544 (b) the total $ 2B-this definitely * MASSIVE * hits for each company-reduction of goodwill over 77%. However, Maunsell aecom, traffic forecasting company who made $ 2.5 m for his "forecasting" illustration motion flow, managed to limit its liability to $ 500,000 in case gets sued. all this while shareholders had its initial $ 1 reduced to $ 0.019.

Now, police services QLD installing multiple speed camera ("road safety") in all tunnels of a large part of the reason that they have a significantly lower than expected usage. Personally, I want to change these signs read "for superannuation schemes" Anna Bligh "which is much more appropriate (and correct) description of why they are there.  Queensland is almost becoming a police state through the CAP 'n Bligh selling off with quite a lot all of our assets, followed by rapid development of speed cameras, red light camera, speed camera averaging and the introduction of laws that would be appropriate in the 1600s (take anti-swearing almost as good example of this).

Another reason for the low use of tunnel Clem 7 is that there is "t" is well located-your notebook exits "t.South side of the Freeway M3/F3/Southeast/whatever it's called this week in one of the heaviest traffic flow in peak hour sections, creating further to other departure Southside is entitled to a set of traffic lights, where they have Ipswich as O'Keefe Street during closed construction to extend to Highway bus.  Not even after O'Keefe Street is your will "alleviate much of the problem of traffic here.Never used exit Wynnum Shafston Avenue, so no personal experience in this output (yet).

North side of the main output is entitled to a set of traffic lights by Lutwyche just north of RBWH-one heaviest Mechanisms of Brisbane north side roads. Other departure Northside Dublin is the ICB, another road biased.  Yes, use the tunnel, only to lighting Hit (or at least heay traffic) as soon as come out-after waiting in the queue to change lamps to allow the "flow" at both ends of the tunnel.

If no one thought so widen southbound freeway instead of dumping only tunnel traffic on it? If you think flyovers output by Lutwyche to allow traffic for the tunnel to enter traffic North without holding anything in those lights?

When I drive past entrance tunnel on Freeway South East, heading North and again in the past exit tunnel on the ICB direction Kingsford Smith drive, takes me 8 minutes of this journey, versus 4 minutes in the tunnel. This Guarantee also recognized "t at the time, So Why use. tunnel, where it recognized" peak hour on all t?Simply there is not enough time, save that financially worthwhile.

Now another problem with Brisbane roads is a new gateway, Big-it increased from $ 2.95 for cars for $ 3.85 in July-which is an increase of 90 c (or just over 30% price increase) and used to using the gateway bridge each week to ABC TV tasks shed for games QRL, therefore contributing $ 5.90 to loan Gates each week (at least). after increasing toll road SouthEasy now use Freeway, ICB and Kingsford Smith, by adding a total of around 5 minutes to my journey and saving me $ 7.70 per week. Good time spent, methinks.

Yes, Cap 'n Bligh is selling most of the assets of Queensland's and replacing them with speed cameras to generate income for you we can obtain replacement. private roads (Clem 7, badly named go between Bridge-especially that is heavily underutilized, even more so than Clem 7 tunnel and the highest toll road per metre in Australia) and increase in toll gates.

And somehow slogan "your Smart consisting – Queensland" has slipped from common usage. No.wonder!
Regards,

Wookie noise complaint
